The NHS is tackling change on an unprecedented scale. While it restructures and adopts other policy reforms such as Payment by Results and Practice Based Commissioning, the Health Service is also radically changing the way care is delivered in order to improve its offering and address financial challenges. We have had considerable involvement with the NHS Integrated Service Improvement Programme (ISIP), working with SHAs and frontline healthcare communities to plan and implement integrated service improvements that address local strategic priorities. Our consultancy work on effective alignment of service improvement plans with Local Area Agreements (LAAs) and PCT Local Delivery Plans (LDPs) underpins commissioning and allows provider organisations to manage the challenge and risk of transition to new care delivery models.
In the Acute sector our consultants work with hospitals to help reduce waste and increase the quality of patient service through the effective use of Lean Thinking, while our communications programme is modernising one of the emergency services with new digital radio technology.
