Programme and Project Management

Programme Definition

Regardless of the programme or project nature, Cornwell consultants will define it in a way that is clear, concise and realistic. Our extensive involvement in both public and private sector projects means that we are as comfortable with the methods and standards employed by our clients as we are with our own. This understanding enables us to apply the key elements of our selected methodologies to obtain the best results.

Our programme definition work confirms the value of the OGC’s guide, Managing Successful Programmes (MSP), whose principles are broadly applicable in both the private and the public sector. We also have our own blueprints for programme definition and project initiation based on recognised good practice and consistent with MSP and PRINCE2.

The definition and initiation of policy programmes, business development programmes, programmes of business change, and IT related programmes are all familiar areas of work. Our consultants are highly skilled in preparing robust business cases so that clients can assess the ongoing viability of their programmes. In addition, we develop effective stakeholder communication strategies that ensure their understanding of programme proposals and allow programme sponsors to understand stakeholders’ requirements and reservations.
