History
Cornwell Management Consultants plc was created at the end of 1991 as Cornwell Affiliates to deliver cost-effective, high-quality, independent management consultancy services. Today, we work with major organisations in both the public and private sectors, providing strategic, management and technical IS consultancy. We have always offered a distinctive style of consultancy based on the principle that our clients prefer us to be integral to their processes of development and change, rather than to act simply as external advisers.
In recent years, independence has emerged as a major factor in the selection of consultants. We have no affiliations or partnerships with any software vendors, hardware manufacturers, systems integrators or Internet Service Providers so our findings and recommendations are truly objective. However, our work constantly brings us into contact with these suppliers and we enjoy good working relationships with all of them.
Having floated on AIM in November 2004, Cornwell is a highly successful mid-size consultancy with a 2005 turnover of £20.7 million. This sustains an unbroken record of achieving year on year growth since the company was established.
In May 2007 Cornwell was acquired by Serco and is now a key part of Serco's Consulting business. The combined consulting business will provide our customers with the range and quality of services they require, from a single and trusted source. By joining forces, we are creating an exciting new consulting capability that includes some of the foremost thinkers and practitioners in our industry. Together we bring a refreshingly new, personal and insightful approach to all our assignments.
